DESCRIPTION:January 11th is the commemoration of the dukhrono of St. Cleme
 nt of Rome +100 according to the Liturgical Calendar of the Syriac Orthodo
 x Church.\n\nMor Clemis was born in Rome & accepted Christianity following
  the evangelization by St. Peter & St. Paul. He is recorded as the 3rd suc
 cessor of St. Peter in Rome. During the rule of emperor Trajan\, Clement w
 as banished to Pontos & imprisoned. He was forced to work in the marble qu
 arries under harsh conditions. Many around him accepted Christ due to his 
 preaching.\n\nHis letter to the Church in Corinth is considered as the ide
 al model of an encyclical from a spiritual leader. This epistle is mainly 
 intended to settle disputes & rifts among churches. It contains advice to 
 the churches\, which have shown disrespect to the traditions & teachings o
 f the Apostles\, as to how to regain their original prestige by practising
  noble qualities like obedience & humility. Additionally\, there is a Holy
  Qurbono Thakso (Anaphora) composed by Mor Clemis. He has also written sta
 ndardised special prayers to be used during the accession of the Patriarch
 s.\n\nThe emperor enraged at his constant preaching even under imprisonmen
 t\, ordered him to be drowned in the Black Sea. Thus St. Clement attained 
 the crown of martyrdom. Mor Clemis is commemorated every Sunday in the Thu
 bden d-Qadishe (5th Thubden/Dypthic) of the Syriac Orthodox Church Holy Qu
