He is recorded as the 3rd su ccessor of St. Peter in Rome. During the rule of emperor Trajan\, Clement was banished to Pontos & imprisoned. He was forced to work in the marble q uarries under harsh conditions. Many around him accepted Christ due to his preaching.\n\nHis letter to the Church in Corinth is considered as the id eal model of an encyclical from a spiritual leader. This epistle is mainly intended to settle disputes & rifts among churches. It contains advice to the churches\, which have shown disrespect to the traditions & teachings of the Apostles\, as to how to regain their original prestige by practisin g noble qualities like obedience & humility. Additionally\, there is a Hol y Qurbono Thakso (Anaphora) composed by Mor Clemis. He has also written st andardised special prayers to be used during the accession of the Patriarc hs.\n\nThe emperor enraged at his constant preaching even under imprisonme nt\, ordered him to be drowned in the Black Sea. Thus St. Clement attained the crown of martyrdom.
