DESCRIPTION:April 19th is the anniversary of the demise of Mar Thoma III +
 1688.\n\nMar Thoma III was the third native-born Metropolitan of the Malan
 kara Jacobite Syrian Church after the Koonan Kurishu Sathyam of 1653. He w
 as from Pakalomattom family & was consecrated by Mor Ivanios Hidayathulla 
 the delegate of the Holy Apostolic See of Antioch to Malankara.\n\nMar Tho
 ma III would govern the Malankara Church for only 2 years. At a young age 
 he departed for the heavenly abode on April 19th 1688. His mortal remains 
 were interred in St. Thomas Church Kadampanad. \n\nBiography courtesy of S
