DESCRIPTION:A Rocket Lab Electron rocket will launch the NeonSat 1A "verif
 ication satellite" for KASA\, as second satellite designed to test the cap
 abilities of the South Korean government's microsatellite constellation. S
 aTReC Initiative\, the Satellite Technology Research Center at KAIST\, an
 d the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) participated in the produc
 tion of the microsatellite. The verification satellite is intended to vali
 date the constellation system's technology\, identified through the first 
 satellite in orbit. It will be placed in an afternoon orbit\, which enhanc
 es observation efficiency by imaging the ground at a consistent time each 
 afternoon. It will precisely verify on-orbit thrust performance\, satellit
 e altitude and spacing maintenance capabilities\, and image quality. Rocke
 t Lab's mission will be named "Bridging The Swarm".\n-\nNeonSat 1A (New-sp
 ace Earth Observation Satellite) is a ~100kg Earth observation satellite w
 ith a high-resolution optical camera designed to monitor for natural disas
 ters along the Korean Peninsula by pairing its images with artificial inte
 lligence. It is the first satellite developed under the NeonSat program b
 y SaTReC and KAIST\, Korea’s leading university in science and technolog
 y\, which developed and operated Korea’s very first satellite KitSat 1 m
 ore than 30 years ago.\nThe NeonSat constellation is the first satellite s
 ystem developed by the Korean government using a mass-production approach 
 for precise monitoring of the Korean Peninsula. Other NeonSats are planned
  to be launched in the next few years to build out the NeonSat constellat
