  is a classically trained artist\, live painter\, muralist\, and art inst
 aller living in Oakland &amp\; has been selected as Stanford Medical Cente
 rs inaugural Artist in Residence. Ryan moved up to the Bay Area to complet
 e his MFA in computer arts and illustration. Inspired by the energy of ele
 ctronic music and hip-hop culture\, he paints live on stage with the music
 al artists who inspire him. He uses his unique skillset to create upliftin
 g imagery highlighting a meaningful connection between him and his subject
 s. Equality\, diversity\, and social justice fueled a series of murals tha
 t he completed during the pandemic to raise awareness. During his tenure a
 s a professional art handler\, Ryan worked closely with Stanford Children
 ’s Hospital\, which led him to discover this position as a resident arti
 st. With the belief that art can help heal\, he looks forward to helping s
 hape the Medicine and the Muse program at Stanford. These current times ar
 e very challenging and require a degree of sensitivity and inclusion that 
 Ryan highlights within his work. His vision entitled “Keep F.A.I.T.H.”
  (Flowing Art Into Their Hands) aims to illustrate the power of visual art
