Remuera Zones Winter Field Day

Congratulations to our Pōhutukawa Year 5, 6 students who will be representing Ellerslie School at the Remuera Zone Winter Sports day on Tuesday 19 August 2025.A group of our Year 5,6 students have been selected to compete in one of our Netball, Touch Rugby, Competitive and Non-competitive Football, or Non-competitive Hockey teams (children will know which team they have been selected for.) We look forward to our students putting their skills, teamwork, fair play and good sportsmanship into action, as they demonstrate how they can be the best Netball, Touch Rugby, Football and Hockey teams they can be!Winter Field Day - Netball9.30am - 2.15pm at Auckland Netball Centre, 7 Alison Ferguson Drive, St Johns. Students to wear their netball dresses/ shirts if they already have them. Please let Miss Patterson know if you don't already so she can organise a shirt/ dress for you. Remuera Zone Competitive Football 9.30am - 2.35pm at Ngahue Reserve, 62-80 College Road, St Johns; Please note: shin guards and long socks are compulsory. Football boots are optional.Year 5, 6 Non-Competitive Football Event9.30am - 2.30pm at Ellerslie Football Club, 45 Michaels Avenue, Ellerslie, Remuera; Please note: shin guards and long socks are compulsory. Football boots are optional.Non-Competitive Hockey Winter Field Day Tournament9.15am - 2.30pm at Auckland Grammar School Hockey Turf, Normanby Road, Mt Eden; Please note: shin guards and mouth guards are compulsory.Winter Field Day - Touch Rugby 9.30am - 2.30pm at College Rifles Park, 33 Haast Road, Remuera.We will be leaving school at 8.30am and return to school between 2.45pm - 3.00pm. Please ensure your child is at school by 8.15 am. Students will be travelling to and from the venues by bus. Our EOTC blanket consent form that most parents signed at the beginning of the year covers permissions for this event. However, if you haven't signed this form you will be sent an additional email asking for your permission for your child to attend this event.All students should wear their their full P.E. uniform with suitable sports shoes (except netball - see details above.) Shin guards and mouth guards are compulsory for Hockey. Shins guards and long socks are compulsory for Football. Football boots are optional. Please ensure your child brings a healthy lunch and morning tea (no Kindo orders), plenty of water to drink, a hat, uniform fleece jumper and sunblock/ raincoat as required. Students with medication: Please ensure your child brings any medication needed in a labelled snap lock bag, to hold in their school bag.If these events are cancelled we will be notified by 8.00am on Tuesday 27 August.As always, parent helpers are a vital part of any sports day.
