Northeast Carpentries Community Meet & Greet OnlineThe Carpentries is an organization that teaches foundational coding and data science skills to researchers worldwide, and right now we are in the process of putting together a Carpentries Community in the Northeast, United States. Are you a Carpentries instructor, helper, lesson, maintainer, or enthusiast based in the Northeast? Whether you’ve taught dozens of workshops or are just curious about what we do, we want to meet you! Join Carpentries Instructors from MIT, Tufts, and the University at Buffalo for an informal Meet & Greet as we launch the Northeast Carpentries Community.Recognizing that geographical distance is less of a barrier thanks to virtual communication platforms, we envision a thriving online community where Northeast practitioners regularly connect to exchange teaching strategies, collaborate on lesson development, and share institutional data science updates. By pooling our resources and growing our network of instructors and helpers, we can amplify the impact of data science education across the region.
