This session will be held in-person only in 478 O'Dowd Hall at Oakland University.Presented by Rabbi Jeremy Yoskowitz, M.Ed, BCC, HEC-CDescriptionIn an era of increasing polarization, this program equips participants with the tools to engage thoughtfully and respectfully across deep differences while confronting one of the world’s oldest and most persistent forms of hatred. Through guided discussion and historical grounding, participants will explore antisemitism in its many expressions—past and present—and examine how it continues to shape public discourse today. The session also provides a nuanced exploration of Zionism as a core Jewish ideal, clarifying its historical roots, its diverse meanings within Jewish thought, and its relationship—both distinct from and connected to—the modern State of Israel.
