Nellie Wong, a fine and important poet dear to our hearts, has passed after "91 years of living life to its fullest and poetry to its finest," observes her long-time friend and colleague Genny Lim, current Poet Laureate of San Francisco. Organized by San Francisco Poet Laureate emerita Kim Shuck, the poets reading in this tribute will include Genny Lim and Flo Oy Wong as "The Hoisan Poets," Kim Shuck, Maw Shein Win, Alice Rogoff, Clara Hsu, Gail Mitchell, Avotcja, Robert Rubino, Bill Vartnaw. Organized by Kim Shuck and co-sponsored by the San Francisco Public Library.
