Host: Toby Hodges Our regular Community of Practice calls bring together educators tackling the challenges associated with widespread generative AI use in teaching and training. With a focus on educating adults, in formal and informal settings, semester-long courses and short training sessions, community conversations give us an opportunity to share experiences of what we have tried, what is working and what is not. Each month includes a featured presentation, reflective open discussion, and a chance for community members to share insights about the questions they still have and the resources/tools they have found helpful. Presentations are prepared in response to one or more of the guiding questions: - What are the primary challenges that you are currently encountering when teaching programming/data analysis skills, in relation to the use of generative AI? - What new approaches have you tried out, to respond to the growing use of genAI in your classroom? - What worked and what did not? What would you try differently next time? - What unanswered questions do you have about computing education in the context of genAI? If you'd like to use your own Zoom link, please share it here.: https://carpentries.zoom.us/j/81271675093?pwd=pVvbJdLMylzBRgRYYduNAaRPKyJdGb.1This is a Community Session.Instructor trainees can attend this event as part of their checkout requirements ('Get Involved' step).
