The commemoration of All Saints is one of the vestiges of the interaction Malankara Church had with the Roman Catholics in our history. In 1599AD, during the illegal Synod of Diamper, Alexis De Menezes added the "Feast of All Saints" to the Malankara calendar, to be celebrated on November 1st in accordance with the Latin Roman Catholic tradition. This is in Action 8 Decree 9 of the Udayamperoor Synodus. May the prayers of the whole communion of saints be with us all.
