A Rocket Lab Electron rocket will launch a pair of satellites for Open Cosmos to operate its new sovereign LEO broadband satellite constellation designed to provide independent and resilient connectivity infrastructure for Europe and the world using high-priority Ka-band spectrum filings by the Principality of Liechtenstein, which were previously held by Rivada Space Networks. Rocket Lab's mission will be named "The Cosmos Will See You Now". - The demonstration satellites were manufactured at the Open Cosmos' headquarters in Harwell, Oxfordshire in the UK with teams across Spain, Portugal, and Greece contributing. The two satellites are around 100 to 150kg in mass each and will be deployed in a high LEO of 1050km altitude. Open Cosmos is not announcing the name of the constellation or sharing the overall target number of satellites at this point.
