This is very likely to be St. John III of Odzoun, called the Philosopher. He was Catholicos of All Armenians from ~ 717-728.The joint Armenian-Syriac Council of Manzikurt 726 was convened by Catholicos John (Hovhannes) III of Odzun. The Armenian Church repudiated the heresy of Julianism that has been prevalent since at least the time of Catholicos Nerses II.
