The link below is Pope Francis’ message for World Communications Day, which is released each year on the feast of St Francis de Sales, patron saint of journalists. This year’s message (2019), under the title “We are members one of another (Eph 4,25). It is held on the following Sunday in many countries, but with the Solemnity of the Ascension celebrated on Sunday in Australia (June 2 this year), no longer the Thursday, World Communications Day is marked a week earlier to avoid clashing with the Ascension. Hopefully that clears up any confusion. As with in previous years, the Australian Catholic Media Council will provide materials to facilitate the celebration of World Communications Day.
