Mor Chrysostomos Mousa Salama +1996

April 18th is the anniversary of the demise of HE Mor Chrysostomos Mousa Matanos Salama +1996. Mor Chrysostomos was the Syriac Orthodox Missionary-Archbishop of Brazil and South America. As a zealous missionary, he had a significant role in opening up the Syriac Church to the non-syrian natives of Brazil who joined the Church. Prior to being Archbishop, Mor Chrysostomos was a Raban in Dayro d-Mor Ignatius Manjinikkara. Here, he learnt Malayalam & even wrote the book 'Jeeva Jalam' a commentary for the Gospels of each Sunday in the Church calendar. Raban Mousa was also the teacher of many eminent personalities including: -Mor Yulios Kuriakose +2011 -Mor Polycarpus Geevarghese +2011 Mor Chrysostomos Mousa Matanos Salama departed for the heavenly abode on April 18th 1996.
