April 5th is the commemoration of the martyrdom of Rev. Fr. Yousif Adel Aboudy +2008 Fr. Yousif attained the crown of martyrdom on Saturday April 5th 2008 for remaining steadfast in the true Christian faith & continuing to perform his priestly duty. Fr. Yousif was gunned down & killed in a drive-by shooting in what was considered one of Baghdad’s safest neighbourhoods, Karrada. This barbaric attack took place outside of his house near the St. Peter and Paul Syriac Orthodox church where he presides.
