This session will take place in-person only in 478 O'Dowd Hall.Speaker:Jason Adam Wasserman, PhD, HEC-CDean's Distinguished Professor, Department of Foundational Medical Studies; Professor, Department of Pediatrics,Oakland University William Beaumont School of MedicineObjectives:At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be better able to:Identify how lack of stable housing contributes to the development and exacerbation of health conditions.Analyze homelessness as the intersection of choice and chance, identifying how social structural factors collude with individual pathologies.Identify ways to improve clinical practice that account for unstable housing, limited resources, and psychological stressors.
