Please remember that rent is always due on the first day of each month. There is a 10-day grace period before a late rent fee of $50 is assessed to your account on the eleventh day of the month. Rent payments can be made online or in person at Student Billing in the Administration Building (additional instructions follow). Please remember to specify that your payment is for rent or your payment can be applied to tuition or other fees that are due to the University. Instructions for Rent Payment All contract holder will be able to access their bills on MyMichiganTech or Banweb using their Initial Sign On (ISO) username and password. Rent for Daniell Heights apartments and the Houses will post to each contract holder's account on the first of each month. Please be aware that the University cannot release the details of a student's account to anyone, other than the student, due to the Privacy Act (FERPA). This includes partners, spouses, registered tenants, or anyone who may be paying the bill on behalf of the contract holder. Please have the contract holder contact Student Billing with any questions. To pay by credit/debit card (Visa, American Express, MasterCard or Discover) or e-check *, click the link on the online bill. Visa, American Express, MasterCard and Discover are accepted for student billing payments; a 2.3% non-refundable service fee will be assessed to these payments. We cannot accept credit or debit card payments for student bills at the Cashier's Office or by phone. Credit and debit cards (Visa, American Express, MasterCard, and Discover) can still be used, without a fee, elsewhere on campus, such as at the Campus Bookstore, Mont Ripley, Campus Café, and other retail establishments. *E-checks are NOT assessed a fee by the university. If paying by e-check, please have your bank routing number and account number available when you select the link on the online bill. To pay by mail, please send your check or money order and a copy of your billing statement to: Michigan Technological University Cashier's Office 1400 Townsend Drive Houghton MI 49931 To pay by International wire transfer: Michigan Tech has partnered with Flywire to provide a seamless and cost-reducing way for international students to pay for educational expenses via wire transfer. To pay in person at the cashiers' area in the Student Service Center, please bring a copy of the billing statement with your check, money order, or cash.
