A SpaceX Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket will launch with the latest Cygnus cargo freighter on an operational cargo delivery flight to the International Space Station. The mission is known as NG-23 and the spacecraft is named SS William C. McCool, which will fly for the second phase of the commercial resupply services (CRS) contract for NASA. Cygnus will be upgraded to XL variant, with a pressurized payload module lengthened by 1.5m, increasing its capacity to 5 tonnes with a volume of 36m³.
