title: Particle transport in electroweak baryogenesis: from field theory to Boltzmann abstract: Electroweak baryogenesis, a scenario for explaining the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the Universe, requires a description of particle transport in a nonequilibrium plasma in the presence of a spacetime-dependent bubble-wall background. This transport is usually described by the Boltzmann equation in the quasiparticle picture, where a CP-violating background modifies the quasiparticle distributions and generates particle-antiparticle asymmetries. In this talk, We first review conventional approaches to deriving the Boltzmann equation from quantum field theory and discuss effects and theoretical issues that have not been adequately addressed in previous treatments. We then introduce our systematic approach, which provides a more transparent derivation and is applicable to a broad class of systems. This talk is based on arXiv:2607.28321.
