Lick-Wilmerding High School Jazz Ensemble - Monthly First Sundays Student-Centric Jam Session

This month, the Lick-Wilmerding High School Jazz Ensemble will perform a set of music and then lead a jam session for student players at the high school and college level, though aspiring jazz musicians all ages are welcome.  As is their practice, the Lick-Wilmerding ensemble will be donate its honorarium to the Homeless Prenatal Program in San Francisco's Mission District. The honorarium paid to the members of the ensembles leading these first-Sunday sessions is supported in part by audience donations at the event and Jazz in the Neighborhood, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the development of fair wage standards for the region's gigging jazz musicians. The Bird & Beckett Cultural Legacy Project , our 501(c)3 organization sharing JitN's goals in that regard.
