Central Western Poll Dorset Youth Day at Cowra Showground on 7th August 2025All things Poll Dorset Sheep!Mr Cooley and Mr Mugridge will take the students on the school bus to the Cowra Showgrounds.Departing from school at 8.40am and returning in time for normal departure routines at 3.10pm. Lunch is provided on the day, however please pack recess and water. Please wear your Practical Uniform. Topics covered include:Butchering demonstration showing different lamb cutsPerformance testingPregnancy Scanning demonstration and whySheep Selection & the attributes of Poll DorsetsMarket suitability of different lambsSheep Junior Judging & Chop Junior JudgingCareers in AgFarm SafetySheep NutritionSheep health and animal ethicsTalk on how to start a Poll Dorset studLooking forward to a fun day of learning.
