Festal Vespers

Festal Vespers for the Great Feast of the "Entrance of the Theotokos into the Temple." This feast day is based upon extra-biblical holy tradition about the early life of the Virgin Mary, when she was dedicated to God and temple service by her parents, Saints Joachim and Anna. The meaning of it is clear: Mary fulfilled the human calling to be a living temple of God, in which God himself is present. Our Lord Jesus was made flesh in her!
