(TBD) Vulcan VC2S • GPS III-8

A United Launch Alliance Vulcan rocket, designated ?, will launch the U.S. Air Force’s tenth third-generation navigation satellite for the Global Positioning System, designated GPS III Space Vehicle 10 (GPS III SV10, named Hedy Lamarr) into Medium Earth Orbit. The satellite will carry an optical communications terminal developed by German aerospace manufacturer Tesat-Spacecom. The mission was switched from Falcon to Vulcan in mid-2024 in exchange for SV07, which was fast-tracked for a rapid response launch on Falcon 9. Vulcan will fly in the VC2S vehicle configuration with a double-engine Centaur upper stage, two solid rocket boosters and a standard fairing.
