Counts for up to 3 hours of service learning.**Make sure to sign in with either Makana or Ella**Come join us at Church of the Crossroads on Nov. 11th, Armistice Day for a special screening of Mālama Mākua! The film will begin at 5:30pm, followed by a potluck dinner and a discussion of the film and related subjects from a panel of Native Hawaiian veterans. This screening was an idea that came from Mālama Mākua’s first ever cultural access specifically for veterans cohosted by Veterans for Peace, many of whom came with a desire to learn more about Mākua and how they could serve in a new capacity. You do not have to be a veteran to attend, but if you know someone who may be ready to reevaluate the purpose of US Military presence in Hawai’i, we encourage you to invite them to this screening. For more information please see the flyer: Mālama Makua Film.pdf
