Date: Tuesday 5 May 2026Venue: James Sheahan Catholic High School, 49 Anson Street, Orange NSW (Mercy Hall)Supervising Teachers: Mrs Sullivan & Mrs Malcolm Transport: School Bus ExcursionStudents will participate in Kids’ Lit Quiz Australia, an inter-school literature competition where teams answer questions on books, authors, characters and literary themes. Each heat features a unique set of questions, with up to ten short-answer questions across ten categories (100 questions in total). The event promotes reading engagement, teamwork and critical thinking.Spectators are welcome and there is no cost to attend. Visitors will be required to sign in at the front office before entering Mercy Hall.Itinerary8:10am – Depart school by bus9:40am – Arrive and register (students to arrive 15–20 mins early)10:00am – Quiz beginsThere will be a twenty-minute break during which the children will have the opportunity to chat with other teams, eat their recess/lunch, or purchase a book from the Collins Bookstore display.1:00pm – Quiz concludes1:15pm – Depart venue2:45pm – Return to school (approx.)What to BringFull school uniformRecess/lunchWater bottleAny required medical items Spending money if students wish to purchase a book from Collins Bookstore dislay.  Supervision & SafetyStudents will be supervised by school staff at all times.
