Kia ora koutou Following our recent update about strengthening BBNZ’s integrity and safeguarding framework, we are now inviting Associations to attend one of two upcoming Integrity and Safeguarding Workshops. This workshop is an important next step in supporting you through the changes outlined previously, including our partnership with Basketball Australia’s Integrity Unit, the introduction of the BBNZ Safeguarding Policy and Tamariki and Rangatahi Protection Policy, and the rollout of the StopLine reporting service. Purpose of the workshop The session is designed to be practical and focused on what this work means for Associations day‑to‑day. We will: * Walk through the new integrity and safeguarding framework and how it operates in practice * Clarify roles, responsibilities, and expectations for Associations * Step through what to do if someone raises a concern with you * Explain how StopLine works and how matters are assessed and managed * Outline how BBNZ will support you through this transition The session will be run in conjunction with Basketball Australia's Integrity Unit. There will also be time for questions, discussion, and sharing perspectives, as we recognise this represents a meaningful shift for Associations and want to ensure it strengthens the mahi you do in your communities.
