The first Sunday of the middle cycle after Easter (Had'bshabo Qadmoyo d'mes'oye d'Qymtho) according to the Liturgical Calendar of the Syriac Orthodox Church. In this Sunday's Gospel, Christ tells us about the sacrifices we have to make and the obstacles we'll come across if we desire to be His true disciple. Our Lord and savior says, "And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it."
