A Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology (SAST) Long March (Chang Zheng) CZ-6A rocket launched three Yaogan 40 satellites as a stacked group into orbit. They were built by CAST's DongFangHong and are designated Yaogan 40-04A/B/C. According to official sources they will be used for electromagnetic environment probing and related demonstrations, so they are probably ELINT/SIGNIT/COMMINT satellites. The launcher will use a short fairing for this mission.
