This essential workshop will equip you with the knowledge and skills to detect and control these parasitic mites before they devastate your colony.We'll cover the biology and lifecycle of varroa destructor, helping you understand why these tiny mites pack such a destructive punch. You'll learn multiple monitoring techniques – from sugar rolls to alcohol washes – so you can accurately assess mite loads in your own hives. We'll also discuss integrated pest management approaches and various control methods, helping you develop a sustainable strategy that fits your beekeeping philosophy.This workshop is crucial for any beekeeper committed to maintaining strong, healthy colonies.
