Volunteer Training_Flat Water Paddling - Beyond the Basics

In this clinic, you can expect a quick refresher on our paddling program and what to expect while coming out to volunteer for the day.  The focus of this training is on our fit up and set up of boats. Learn to outfit boats in a way that will offer participants more independence. During this clinic, you will be able to get hands on with the equipment and get practice with setting up boats with our new adaptations. We will talk about potential candidates for these set ups, how much to support, and where to support depending on the participants' disability. We will take the boats out on the water, get a chance to feel what these set ups are all about, talk about paddling instruction, and reiterate our safety precautions for this program. Experience: Have taken paddling training with ASA or another program in the past.
