Facilitated by Cody Bailey-CrowSession Description: This session will equip participants with the essential skills to convert static, inaccessible PDF materials (including native PowerPoint and Word files) into ADA Title II compliant PDFs. During this session, participants will explore core document accessibility principles, including tag tree structures, alternative text for complex figures, and logical reading orders, to ensure compliance with ADA Title II mandates. The first hour covers key remediation techniques, followed by an open studio hour for real-time assistance with your own teaching materials. Bring your existing files or presentations to transform them on the spot into barrier-free learning tools.Learning Objectives:Identify and correct common accessibility barriers in PDF documents, including improper reading order, missing tags, and unformatted tables.Implement effective structural navigation (headings, alt text for complex medical imagery, and descriptive hyperlinks) using standard PDF remediation tools.Evaluate document compliance against Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standards to ensure institutional readiness under ADA Title II.  Date & Time: September 10 (10:00am-noon)
