Volunteer Training_Introduction to Flat Water Paddling

 In this clinic you can expect a run down of what a day of paddling looks like with ASA. This program is based around flat water paddling on some of the local lakes. We will dive into the responsibilities as a volunteer out on these programs, talk about our different paddling locations, go through our water craft fleet and some adaptations that we can add on to them. While out on the water we will talk about paddling instructing and some other skilled based learning opportunities for our participants. Throughout the training we will be talking about our safety precautions and our risk management while out these programs. This clinic should give you an idea of what to expect when signing up to volunteer on a paddling program.Experience: No experience needed. This clinic is tailored to volunteers who are new to the program or any returning volunteer that would like a good refresher on the paddling program.
