A Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology (SAST) Long March (Chang Zheng) CZ-12 rocket will launch on its third flight. It will probably carry a batch of 9 Hulianwang Digui satellites for the China SatNet Guowang internet constellation into orbit. This mission is known as SatNet LEO Group ? (卫星互联网低轨0?组) and the satellites are designated as Hulianwang Digui 0?A/B/C/D/E/F/G/H/I. The two stage CZ-12 rocket is powered by four YF-100K keroLOX engines on the first stage while its second stage is propelled by two YF-115 keroLOX engines. - The Guowang satellite program can carry a variety of payloads, including broadband communication payloads, laser communication payloads, synthetic aperture radar payloads, optical remote sensing payloads, and others, to meet the needs of different users and scenarios. It offers comprehensive technical support across numerous fields such as maritime and aviation operations, information security, navigation and positioning, and meteorological research, while also enabling expansion into the global satellite internet access market. The eventual constellation is expected to grow to 12992 satellites. This will be made up of 6080 in the low orbit GW-A59 sub-constellation at altitudes below 500km, offering initial broadband coverage. The rest will orbit in the higher GW-A2 sub-constellation at 1145 km, providing a more global reach.
