(NET) Falcon 9 B5 • Globalstar

A SpaceX Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket will launch 9 new generation Globalstar communications satellites (designated as HIBLEO-4) into low Earth orbit (LEO). Globalstar M11?–M11? will be the 106th to 114th satellites launched for Globalstar's constellation. Globalstar reserves 85% of its network capacity for Apple’s Emergency SOS via Satellite service. The seventeen 500kg satellites under this contract, built by MDA with Lightning buses supplied by Rocket Lab, are intended to sustain and grow that capacity through the middle of the next decade. Each satellite is also expected to support Globalstar’s broader Band 53 terrestrial-spectrum services. The flight is known as Globalstar 2-R Launch 2 and the Falcon 9 booster is designated as B10XX.X for this mission and will perform a RTLS landing at LZ-40. The second stage will fly with a shortened nozzle and a reused fairing. Webcast: https://www.spacex.com/launches/globalstar2-rlaunch2 https://spaceflightnow.com/
