Putnam Disaster Recovery

Good afternoon everyone, First I would like to say thank you for everyone who was in attendance for today's meeting it's always great to see your smiling faces. For those of you that were unable to attend I have outlined below some of the highlights that were discussed at the meeting in order to bring you all up to speed. 1. Please review the copy of the purposed bylaws that were sent out to the group. The bylaws will be voted on at the next meeting that will be held on February 15th at 10:00 AM. If you did not receive a copy of the bylaws please reach out to Christine McCauley at christine@epic-cure.org. 2. Discussed was the development of the COAD committees which include: Mass Care, Unmet Needs, Debris / Repair, Fundraising / Grants, and Volunteer Management. Please review the attached document that outlines the description of each committees roles and responsibilities. Please be prepared to identify which committee if any you or your organization would be willing to serve on at the next meeting. Those individuals or organizations that have already stepped forward to serve on a committee all identified below: Mass Care: * Joe Clark: American Red Cross * Elliott Kane: Bread of Life * Steve Burkowske: Open Door Church * David Yonts: Interlachen Soup Kitchen Unmet Needs: * Diane Phillips: Catholic Charities * Sheila McCoy: Heart of Putnam * Lucia Valdivia-Sanchez: Interstate Migrant Program Fundraising/Grants * Aaron Robinson: Palatka Housing Authority * Lakesha Sessions: Palatka Housing Authority Volunteer Management: * Gladys Jones: Heart of Putnam * Mellisa Missick: Heart of Putnam * Jack Hall: St. Johns River College Debris/Repair * Jeff Foster: Crossroads Community Church 1. Lastly but none the less some exciting news was shared!!!! Putnam Disaster Recovery COAD will be receiving $100,000.00 from the Florida Disaster Relief Fund to assist COADs, and LTRGs in helping those in your county affected by Hurricane Ian in their recovery process. Way to go!!! I will be emailing out the agenda on Monday. Please respond to this email in regards to your ability to attend the meeting or not.
