Navy Veteran Dorothy "Dottie" Benedict will be buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery on November 19th at 10:30 am in their scattering garden. Dorothy was a member of St. John's who died in 2019. For unknown reasons her ashes were left unclaimed at the church and have resided in the church ever since. As she has no traceable family, the Rector has taken on the responsibility of giving her a decent Christian Burial. If you would like to join the Rector for the burial please feel free to come. If you would like to help defray the expanse of the burial ($500) please make a donation to the Rector's Discretionary Fund.
